Shea’s Performing Arts Center was commissioned by Buffalo entertainment pioneer Michael Shea and opened on January 16, 1926.  The mission of Shea’s Performing Arts Center is to restore and maintain Shea's Buffalo Theatre for present and future generations.  The working historic theatre provides a wide variety of live performing arts experiences for patrons and innovative and effective educational experiences that foster appreciation of live theatre by area youth.  Shea's Performing Arts Center is located in Downtown Buffalo's Theatre District and hosts touring Broadway productions, Opera, Concerts, Comedy and an Annual Film Series.  The building is on the National Register of Historic Places and for more information, visit www.sheas.org.
