Gov't Mule and Jackie Greene at Buffalo Place Rocks the Harbor at the Erie Canal Harbor - Central Wharf on Saturday, August 7th!

Gov't Mule and Jackie Greene will perform at Buffalo Place Rocks the Harbor on Saturday, August 7th!  Gov’t Mule began as a side project for Allman Brothers Band members Warren Haynes and the late Allen Woody.  In 1994, the two long time members of the Allmans met and jammed with drummer Matt Abts at a Los Angeles club following an Allman Brothers Band show.  The group released their self-titled debut album in 1995 and a live album, Live at Roseland Ballroom in 1996.  In 1997, Haynes and Woody resigned from the Allman Brothers Band to pursue Gov’t Mule full time.  In 2000, the trio released another CD, Life Before Insanity.  Months after the 2000 release, bassist Allen Woody passed away.  Considered one of the hardest working bands in the industry, Gov’t Mule has worked to make their 2009 release, By A Thread, a record that would appeal to both old and new fans alike.

Jackie Greene is an American singer-songrwriter, born in Salinas, California who developed an interest in music at an early age and has mastered the art of the guitar, piano and harmonica.  Greene is a captivating performer, whose soulful roots music works in any environment - from the small local music club to a noisy performing arts center.
