Description:

Labatt Blue Light, The Good Neighborhood and Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper are teaming up to present the inaugural Blue Light Border Cross, an event representing six Canadian bands over five nights in four Buffalo venues.  Blue Light Border Cross celebrates the bond between our two countries and the waters we share, while continuing Buffalo’s great legacy as a gateway city for Canadian artists into the American music scene, with proceeds going to the preservation and protection efforts of Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper.  “Imported daily from Canada, Labatt Blue Light wouldn’t miss the opportunity to help bridge Canadian and American music fans,” said Matt Goldman, Labatt USA customer and field marketing manager.  “We’re proud to present these great Canadian bands in Buffalo while supporting the great work of Buffalo Niagara Riverkeepr in the process.”

The schedule:
Tuesday, February 9th at 9:30 p.m. - Pearl Street Grill & Brewery, $2.00 - Melting Pot (Rock/Soul-Toronto)
Wednesday, February 10th at 8:00 p.m. - Croc Bar, $3.00 - The Waxbills (Rock-Niagara Falls)
Thursday, February 11th at 8:00 p.m. - Sportsmens Tavern, $10.00 - Lee Harvey Osmond ("Acid folk"- Hamilton)
Friday, February 12th at 9:30 p.m. - Pearl Street Grill & Brewery, $5.00 - The Royal Crowns (Rockabilly-Toronto)
Saturday, February 13th at 9:30 p.m. - Mohawk Place, $5.00 - King Roller/Super Stack (Alt. Country-Kitchener-Waterloo/Southern rock-Sudbury)

While Melting Pot and King Roller will be playing Stateside for the first time, artists such as the Royal Crowns, The Waxbills and Lee Harvey Osmond are no strangers to Buffalo. Lee Harvey Osmond is a new outfit featuring members of Canadian trendsetters Blackie & the Rodeo Kings, Cowboy Junkies and Skydiggers.  The finale’s pairing of King Roller and Super Stack promises to put a powerful knockout punch to the series.  With the series bookended by Buffalo Sabres home games, Labatt Blue Light is providing Sabres tickets and other items to be raffled off each night by Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper.
