Roosevelt Plaza
Main Street at Huron Street
Roosevelt Plaza is located at the corner of Main and Huron Streets. A true urban pocket park, it is great space to eat lunch outdoors. Shade is provided by numerous trees and the view of the Electric Tower and the golddome of M&T Center create a peaceful urban space. Roosevelt Plaza is home to a bronze statue entitled "The Hiker," the work of A.G. Newman. The statue represents Buffalo's participation in the Spanish-American War in 1898 and honors Theodore Roosevelt who took the presidential oath of office in Buffalo in 1901.
